Ford Fiesta ST caught testing at Nurburgring

  news

It seems that Ford will be bringing forth another ST version to accompany the new Focus ST. This time, Ford is focusing on the smallest hatchback in their line-up. And while everyone is waiting for its official debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the Fiesta ST has once again been caught testing at Nurburgring.

The future Fiesta ST will feature a wide body kit with a Focus RS-style nose and an angry diffuser. It will be powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged EcoBoost petrol engine with 200 HP. This will help the car sprint from 0 to 60 mph in six seconds and hit a top speed of 140mph. The ST package will also add lowered suspension, widened front and rear tracks, and two huge exhaust pipes. The interior will get a pair of sporty Recaro seats. Sales will begin in early 2011.

The Ford Fiesta ST will take on models like the RenaultSport Clio 200 and the Volkswagen Polo GTI.

Well, this is supposedly a small car right..but how come that it can sprint from 0 to 60 mph for 6 second? I was expecting for a lower figure. However, i bet this car would be fuel efficient.
