While most sporting drivers will be waiting for the Ford Focus ST , the automaker will offer up something a bit more civilized for the time being. When the newFocus goes on sale in 2011, Ford will offer sport packages with the SE and Titanium models. This package will add a more tuned up suspension, larger wheels, better brakes, and some interior bits.

The SE Sport Package, available on the sedan and hatch, will equip the car with four-wheel disc brakes, sport suspension, 16-inch alloy wheels, piano black, grille sports seats, metallic interior trim accents, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a five-speed manual transmission. It will also get a rear spoiler and come in Ford’s Yellow Blaze Metallic paint.

If you opt for the Titanium model, it will come with sport suspension, the Titanium Handling Package - which adds better suspension components for more driving feel - and 18-inch alloy wheels with summer tires.

The all-new Ford Focus will take dynamic driving to new levels with optionally available handling packages on SE and range-topping Titanium model. Driving dynamics and responsive handling have been elevated across the entire all-new Focus range for 2012. All Focus models feature standard specifically tuned electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) system, independent Control Blade rear suspension and torque vectoring control. These features combine to make Focus more agile and confidence-inspiring for enthusiast and normal drivers alike.

"Our enthusiast customers told us exactly what they want in an all-new Focus," said Mark Rushbrook, Ford vehicle dynamics manager for the 2012 Ford Focus. "They asked us to give Focus more responsive handling, and they asked that we develop and offer a factory-engineered handling package with beefier suspension hardware. We’ve done just that, fine-tuning a pair of available packages for mid-level SE and up-range Titanium models."

The automotive enthusiast community should appreciate the sharpened handling offered in the volume-series Focus SE four-door sedan and five-door hatchback. The SE Sport Package features sport-tuned suspension, 16-inch aluminum wheels, sport seats, four-wheel disc brakes, piano black grille, metallic interior trim accents, leather-wrapped steering wheel and standard five-speed manual transmission.

Focus SE Sport Package four-door models add a rear spoiler, while all SE Sport Package models with the PowerShift™ dual-clutch transmission add SelectShift Automatic™ functionality for manual override gear selection. SE Sport Package is the only mid-level Focus model to offer premium Yellow Blaze Metallic Tri-coat paint, as well.

Two additional wheel packages are offered with the Focus SE Sport Package. A 16-inch machined alloy wheel with painted pockets is offered as an upgrade, while serious enthusiasts may wish to add the 17-inch machined and painted alloy wheel option. The range-topping Focus Titanium model is fitted with the sport-tuned suspension as standard equipment. This includes stiffer springs and dampers.

Enthusiast buyers specifying a Focus Titanium sedan or hatchback can add the Titanium Handling Package with optimized suspension components, special 18-inch alloy wheels, lowprofile summer performance tires and a trunk-mounted full-size spare.

"Focus enthusiasts spoke and we listened, providing them with additional packages," said Rushbrook, an active amateur Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) racer. "Serious drivers looking for even more grip in the corners will really appreciate the SE Sport and Titanium
Handling Packages."

North American Ford Focus hatchback and sedan with optional handling packages will go on sale – in SE and Titanium trim series levels – at Ford dealerships in early 2011.

I think it will not cost as high as we think, even if it is a titanium model. The titanium used is only on the steering wheel. That was cool right? Didn’t you notice that when you handle a titanium for a long time, it will cause the perspiration of hands.

The aerodynamic kit offer is great and it really makes the car to be more sporty. However, its kind of sad that they focus more on the exterior modification of this car and forgot to upgrade its power performance.

hmm. I wonder if they this car would be available in the Chinese market for it seems to be a longer version? Well, it really makes the car sportier though the performance is just the same! I want to see a boost engine!

Well, what can I say? The haven’t mentioned the figure performance of this car. And it seems they are planning to make an upgrade in the face of the car. Actually, I was expecting for more power for this car.

I would say that Ford Focus is a sporty type car that has an awesome performance . However, it doesn’t matter if they have used a leather for the material..it’s not a luxury brand either.

Once again, Ford offers a sporty type car that we would definitely loved. However,it would be better if they used carbon fiber materials rather than synthetic leather.

well we all know that EVO and Subaru are born in rally both cars the the best, but when ford launches Focus Evo and STI had a hard time winning in rally.

Bought this car in March 2009 been through plenty of rain and no leaks what so ever. I had mine in the Iris color and it is a real head turner with the roof up and down.

Under the hood of this surprisingly good-looking SUT is an intercooled and supercharged 4.6-liter V8 that belts out 390 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.

The idea of an SVT-tuned Sport Trac didn’t sound too exciting at first, but its clean design and credible performance specs are hard to dismiss.

Really should be 6spd across the board like a number of other automakers are employing.

That is one incredibly sexy Ford. Looks downright mean!

It is no wonder why your bar is mostly red.

Top trim levels of any vehicle rarely sell that well. Automakers sell much more low and mid-level models.
