The BP-Ford rally team have produced a win in the Rally of Great Britain.
Ford wins the Rally of Great Britain in Wales, for the first time in 27 years.
World Rally team, BP-Ford claimed their first Rally of Great Britain, held in the welsh countryside, victory for 27 years ending the 2006 World Rally Championship (WRC).
The team finished with eight outright wins for the Ford Focus RS WRC and the FIA Manufacturers Championship. Finland’s Marcus Gronholm gave an impressive performance driving this years car into Ford Rallying History, of which the motor company were a driving force in the seventies and early eighties with the RS Sport name, since then the team and company have had an up and down time within the sport.

The British rally consisted of 355km of competitive driving, starting in the forests of South Wales and finishing in the city of Cardiff.
