Future Audi EV - new rendering

In the future, the state of California says that every manufacturer must have a zero-emission car,and Audi doesn’t want to be kept out of that lucrative market. Starting 2010 the company will offer its own electric version of the Up! concept revealed in 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Here is an exclusive TopSpeed interpretation of the future car, a design we hope will be close to the actual production car.

If built, the future electric Audi will be offered in different body versions, including a three and five-doors "service hatch" (large hatchback) first used on the A2. The car will feature a front engine, because the rear-engined concept version is too expensive to produce. It will also feature LED-s and fiber optic lights.
