We don’t know if General Motors->ke1024 is jumping the gun with their increasing excitement or if the market interest for the new Cadillac CTS Coupe is stronger than any of us anticipated. Either way, GM announced that their new flagship coupe is already being produced at the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant and, on top of that, they’ve bumped the vehicle’s expected shipping schedule sooner than the expected August dealership date.

Whatever their reasoning is, prospective customers for the CTS Coupe must be grinning from ear to ear right now. Not only do they get the car they’ve been waiting for ahead of schedule, but they’re also given an option to purchase the CTS Coupe with either a 3.6-liter V6 engine with direct injection that produces 304 horsepower ($38,990) or an upgraded version – the CTS-V Coupe – with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine ($62,990).

Not that we’re complaining ourselves, because to be honest, we’ve had our eye on this car for quite some time and now that it’s dealership drop date has been scheduled earlier than announced, it should give us a clearer understanding of everything we need to know about the car sooner than expected.
