Remember the gold plated Porsche of last summer? Well if you’re in western Europe, and you spot it, there may be a little gold in it for you.

Proving that it doesn’t take a genius to steal a car, the golden Porsche was taken during a test drive. The owner found a prospective buyer over the internet, and then he let this person take a few laps alone in a Moscow parking lot. After a couple of laps, the driver sped off in the precious Porsche and hasn’t been seen since.

The car and the 45 lbs of added gold has been currently valued at about $600,000.

I agree with you. How can you let someone test drive a vehicle with 40LBS OF GOLD?!?!! Was this buyer that much of a smooth talker that you just handed him the key and hoped he would buy?? You got what you deserved...This was expected. The guy was probably driving the vehicle when he though to himself, "ok i have an expensive vehicle with 40LBS of GOLD and im driving away from the owner..hmmm ok im not returning.lalala"

Don’t push it too much. This car deserves a recognition for being the fastest gold to runaway from its owner in 0-60.

Lesson for the day. If your car is made of 45 lbs gold. and it has a market value of 600,000 USD, never leave the steering wheels to strangers. NEVER.

It’s the same way of saying we are running out of gold! Coz’ it’s literally running away. At least this famous golden Porsche proves that you don’t need a Midas touch to outrun and out wit some dumb rich fellow. So sad to the poor guy.

this actually makes perfect sense. any one who’s dumb enough to put 40lb of gold on their car would also be dumb enough to let some one take said car for a test drive with out being in the car during the test ride. i mean duh. of course he was gonna jack it. it there is no hope for the car ever being found. its already being sold of by the part and the gold has been melted into bricks.. dumb had it coming..
