Hennessey->ke1863 is well know for its power-adding addiction, having thrown superchargers on everything from Corvettes->ke1280 to Tahoes.->ke472 Not even the nimble, track-boss Camaro Z/28 is immune from the tune.

This brand new Camaro->ke248 has less than 1,000 miles on the clock, and has undergone the transformation from naturally aspirated to supercharged. The 7.0-liter V-8 that used to produce a “mere” 505 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque now lays down a highly respectable 807 horsepower and 706 pound-feet of torque.

The tune Hennessey installed is its HPE 1000, designed to deliver 1,000 horsepower to the wheels. Then again, calling it a tune is an understatement. The 7.0-liter’s LSX engine block is upgraded with all new internals, including forged aluminum pistons, forged steel rods, a beefier crankshaft, upgraded valvetrain inside the ported cylinder heads, high-flow fuel injectors, and of course, that 2.9-liter supercharger. Hennessey then calibrates the engine’s ECU to run the extra power.

Hennessey says the extra 200 horsepower will be dialed in once the engine has 1,000 miles on the clock, so check back soon for an updated video. It’ll sure be fun watching those 305-series Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires try to keep up with all that power.
