Highland Daytona Racing is a leading Cobra Daytona Coupe designer and manufacturer. HDR only commercializes "turnkey" cars, adapted to the owner’s requirements, even as far as custom building the cars driver’s side interior to his personal size dimensions! These are not kit cars by anyone’s imagination.
The HDR FIA Roadster wants to replicate one of the two original 427 FIA Race Cobras. HDR took from the FIA exterior accoutrements the race bred look and also the aluminum interior. The Cobra Roadster shares exactly the same suspension parts and geometry as the Daytona Coupe, along with virtually every other bolt on part.
HDR’s chief designers bring more than 60 years of collective experience in mechanical systems maintenance, design, fabrication and engineering along with their passion for making the Cobra Roadster the indisputable standard in Shelby Cobra 427 Roadster reproductions.
The Cobra Roadster has a maximum output of 450 hp. It accelerates to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds with braking back to a standstill in 106 feet. The 1/4 mile turns in 11.4 seconds at 126.4 mph.
