Honda Civic Type R coming in USA in 2010

At a recent press drive for the Euro-market Civic Type R, Honda has announced that a variant of the hot hatch is coming in USA in 2010. They plan to offer a package in keeping with the Japanese-market Type R (read: four-door sedan), and include a horsepower boost and a limited-slip differential.

The prototype Type R (Japan) is powered by a 2.0-liter iVTEC engine with an output of 220 hp. But for the US market it is very posible to import the Euro-market Type R’s angular hatchback.
