Hummer doesn't seem like the likely candidate for General Motors to invest in a new model. After all, gas prices are still high, and it's no secret that the Hummer brand is for sale. But a new model, a smaller one, looks to be in the works. This smaller model may entice companies to buy the brand. According to Automobile Magazine Hummer is considering something similar to the HX Concept. To be called H4, the new model would arrive around 2012 and give Hummer a direct competitor to the Jeep Wrangler.

The HX Concept is powered by a E85 FlexFuel 3.6L SIDI V6 engine mated to a six speed automatic transmission.
