Hyundai has announced that the sporty Tiburon coupe will be replaced with a new RWD models at the end of 2008, or mid-2009. This will be the second model made on the automaker’s new rwd platform. The first will be the Genesis sedan, which goes on sale in summer 2008.

"There will be a coupe off the Genesis," the Hyundai source confirms. "It will come six months to a year after Genesis. It will be the replacement for the Tiburon."

The new RWD model will be powered by a V6 engine.
