Impressive storage in the 2013 Cadillac XTS

Posted on by 18

When Cadillac designers and engineers learned that full-size luxury sedan customers desire and expect more room for active lifestyle gear, they gave themselves an ambitious goal: Maximize the space in the upcoming 2013 Cadillac XTS to comfortably accommodate four adults and four golf bags.

“Our owners want to comfortably take four adults out for a round of golf and dinner afterwards,” said XTS Chief Engineer Sheri Hickok. “The challenge was to give customers what they expect in terms of interior spaciousness, comfort and luxury, but to do so without compromising exterior looks and handling dynamics.”

The final result of their efforts was almost 40 inches of rear legroom in the Caddy and a massive trunk measuring 18 cubic feet. In terms of space, this puts the Cadillac ahead of the Audi A8L , the BMW 7-series , and the Mercedes-Benz S-class . The country club credibility of the XTS is on display at the Cadillac Championship at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Miami, where four full Callaway golf bags and four adults fit into the Cadillac easily and with room to spare.

Security is something Cadillac takes seriously, so the contents of the trunk remain out of sight and behind a locked lid. And with more than a dozen storage compartments, the passenger cabin was also designed to keep valuables hidden. A space under the front center armrest can conceal a smartphone, and there is even a hidden compartment behind the advanced new Cadillac User Interface, known as CUE , that is accessed by a hidden button and motorized door.

Check out the video above that Cadillac has released, and see why the 2013 Cadillac XTS should be your vehicle of choice for future golf trips.

I wish there’s more space on the inside too.

So, to whom is this targeted to?

If it isn’t expensive, it’s probably the most dominant brand of taxi already. LOL.

Sooner or later, a lot would already purchase it because of its ideal classy quality, and because of the large storage feature.

It’s built for drivers who usually need a lot of space in the storage. Golfing, Surfiong, Camping and other stuffs will be perfect function of this car.

It isn’t just ideal for golfing purposes only, no? It’s perfect for anyone who transports quite a lot of his things often.

Only if this is that cheap, I think it would make a good taxi because of the large storage area.

If the storage space is the basis, I think this car is suited for family use or even for a simple airport service since travelers always carry handfuls of baggage. The car is attractive too.

Hmm.. I think it would be better if its interior has as much ample space as its compartment.

I don’t know, but I’m more attracted to the paint job it sports more than its impressive storage feature.

Really? Then this is thoroughly ideal for family use, or even for just one person with many needs that has to be with him all the time he travels.

The storage is really the highlight of this article; from the content, video and the comments from the people, they show the advantage of a roomy trunk space.

The moment I saw it, I just knew that this is made subtly for sufficient cargo space. I mean, it’s not really the highlight but it surely is an awesome bonus feature.

The storage space is quite good, and the roomy interior is fitted for a big family that often likes to go out.

This car is most suitable for the ladies, since they are the ones who bring a lot of things with them when going out.

This would be ideal for luxurious people who are extremely fond of bringing a lot of things for their necessities.

This just proves it really is for elite people; mostly elite people play golf. Furthermore, this XTS obviously looks elegant.

My Skoda Octavia II has 560 liters/19.77 cubic in of trunk space :P
