Infiniti->ke36 has just released a teaser image ahead of the Paris Motor Show->ke227 in October, which will see the introduction of a brand-new model in the company's lineup. The new vehicle promises to share a vision "on a scale not seen before" from the automaker, but other than that, and the familiar front grille shown in the photo, there's isn't much information to chew on.

However, based on past announcements and rumors, there are a few different possibilities we need to consider. We know for a fact that Infiniti has at least two new models in the works, including a crossover hatchback and a high-performance sedan->ke142, while a flagship four-door coupe has been churning in the rumormill for a few months now. What's more, Infiniti isn't necessarily teasing a production car. The Paris Motor Show could also bring a concept that previews an upcoming model. Read on to find out what Infiniti may have in store for us.

Why It Matters

The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about "a vision on a scale not seen before from the company" is the Q50 Eau Rouge. The Nissan GT-R-powered sedan has already been unveiled in concept form, and, last time we checked, production approval was still pending. On a similar, never-before-seen scale sits the Porsche Panamera competitor that's rumored to arrive by 2018 and slot above the Q70. Reportedly named either Q80 or Q90, the flagship crossover could be previewed by a concept car in Paris.

Then there's the Q30. Already previewed by the Q30 Concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show->ke235, the crossover hatchback might break cover in production guise during the French event. Lastly, we could be seeing a different vehicle altogether, most likely developed during Johan de Nysschen's tenure at the company and kept hidden from our eyes.

Whatever the case may be, we're looking at a front grille that features a brand-new, wavy pattern that suggests a bold design might be lurking in the shadows. We'll keep an eye out for more details on the matter and get back to you with an update. Make sure you stay tuned to TopSpeed.

Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge

Named after the iconic corner of the Spa Francorchamps track in Belgium, the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge is a high-performance interpretation of the compact sedan. The concept blends Nissan GT-R power with Formula One, luxury, and a comfortable ride. The Eau Rouge sets itself apart from the regular Q50 via its aerodynamic body kit, numerous carbon-fiber components, and a unique interior boasting aluminum inserts and magnesium alloy shift paddles.

The Eau Rouge’s engine bay hosts the same engine found in the Nissan GT-R, a twin-turbo, 3.8-liter, V-6 unit that delivers 560 horsepower. Mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission instead of the GT-R's traditional dual-clutch autobox, the Eau Rouge, which also benefits from an all-wheel-drive system, promises to a complete the 0-to-60 sprint in less than four seconds.
