Iranian engineer builds Hexawheel concept inspired by Mercedes

If the sight of this vehicle makes your nose scrunch up and a "what the f*@%!" bubble appear above your head then you are not alone. This vehicle is one of the strangest we have ever seen with its unique Mercedes-inspired design language and its crazy structure. What in the world could anyone possibly use this vehicle for? Creator and Iranian engineer Siyamak Rouhi Dehkordi will tell you this vehicle was designed for “adventurous customers and people who need to move in extremely difficult conditions and terrains.”

This extreme off-road vehicle was designed after the jointed structure of insects and operates on a flexible frame and six wheels. This unique body, along with the diesel engine mated to a flexible hydraulic power transmission system, allows it to crawl over almost any obstacle with ease. The vehicle’s dimensions consist of a total length of 4.8 meters, two equal wheelbases of 0.95 meters, and a ground clearance of 46 cm.

The only place the engineer seemed to fail at, other than with the utter hideousness of the vehicle, is the space. The Hexawheel concept is only a three-seater and offers up a very small trailer space in back. Other than that, it is an awkwardly cool vehicle.

Its appearance isn’t really impressive, what about its performance? Aside from that, its size is rather useless, how can it only contain three people?

What kind of vehicle is that? Undefined? It looks so futuristic. Another space vehicle I assure. Will it be the vehicle that will be sent on NASA to do some space mission?

It looks like a big dog robot on its platform, but it looks very massive on that. Anyway, I also noticed that it looks too heavy on its dimension, but I really admire this for being such a unique concept.

I think I already see this one in a cartoon show! I just can’t figure out if what show it was. Anyway, I’m really so amused that this vehicle is truly existing in real life!

The engineer of this one is seems so fond with robots! Anyway, this vehicle is truly very cool and strange, and I must say that I would really love to see this on the road, someday. smiley

I can’t imagine what will be my initial reaction when I saw this one on the road. Sure, this one was very futuristic on its platform, and it looks massive either but expect it also to be too pricey on its market production.

It seems heavy because on its huge platform, but I must say that I am also so impressed with the uniqueness and artistic touch of this concept! I wonder if why Mercedes didn’t put this one on the market? smiley

It seems that in a sudden moment it will transform into a robot! smiley I have to agree that the design is really a winner! It is so unique to its platform. Iranian engineers were so cool! smiley

A detachable pick truck with odd style and design, nice concept of Mercedes. But i don’t think it would hit the market, just have a gut feeling on this.
