Jaguar XE to debut in 2012

Is not the first time your hear about a production version of the Jaguar F-Type Concept. But now, thanks to AutoCar, we can reveal the name of the production version: XE, a two-seat, £40k sports car that is currently in the design and planning stages and will be developed for a 2012 launch.

The future sportscar, codenamed Project X700 will be built on either XF or the XK platform and will be a serious competition for the Porsche 911.
