Jay Leno drives the Ford Police Interceptor

When Jay Leno finally decides to hang up his talk show gig, maybe he might have a future as a law-enforcement official.

In the latest episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, Leno invited Gerry Koss, the marketing manager for Ford’s Fleet Operations in North America, and Lisa Teed, the marketing manager for the Ford Police Interceptor , for a little discussion about the company’s two new Police Interceptors.

The two vehicles – a sedan and a utility version – will soon be taking the reins from the venerable Crown Victoria as Ford’s official police vehicles. Ever the car enthusiast that he is, Leno didn’t waste time trying to get to know more about the future of Ford’s police fleet and with the help of both Koss and Teed, he was given a quick tour around the two vehicles and the myriad of unique features that they have that, unfortunately, will be exclusive only for police use. Yeah, no AK-47 holsters for any of us.

Later on, Leno got to spend some time at the LAPD’s official test track to give the Police Interceptor some burn while chasing down an old Crown Victoria Police Car. The comedian even admitted that it was totally fun to be on the other side of a car chase for once and we’ll probably agree with his sentiments if we ever get a chance to sit behind the wheel of these two bad boys.

I just love the Jay Leno shows for it helps us get to know more about the certain cars and is it has a good quality or not.

for sure he borrowed the car from the police because that model is not available for us. Its exclusive of the cops only. And once again, i feel envy because Jay Leno got a chance to tried this car!

This video is very entertaining. Jay Leno, chasing the bad guys? A new career is waiting for him just in case he would like to retire from hosting.

they made the right choice! I think Ford could handle and stand up to the stress that is put on its motor! I think no need to be skeptical to the durability, performance and durability of this car.

Wow, Leno driving the Interceptor. This one is definitely a must see. Leno’s really one lucky guy to be able to do that boyhood dream of driving a police car for real.

of course he had. beside overspeeding is not a problem to this kind of car he drive.

for sure he had fun and good time driving the new interceptor. i wonder what does it feel to drive one of those car.

Jay didn’t even let Conan finish his contract, you want him to let the guy finish a single repentance?

I bet jay had a lot of fun driving the interceptor. but does he wanted to have one also?

Too bad he didn’t check out the Carbon E7. Its vastly superior to either Chevy or Ford’s entry in that market space. While more costly than those two, its the only car that was designed from the ground up for law enforcement, and it shows in every way. LEOs have a very tough and dangerous job, and they should be given the very best tools to carry out their duties. When it comes to deciding which gear they get, performance, not politics, should rule.

The original purpose for dungarees(the proper name for denim), was as work clothes. Jay actually works on his cars, worsted wool or linen slacks won’t cut it here.

The video seems to be working fine.

I’m afraid the video has some loading problems. I’ve waited more that a minute... and my internet is not slow. Maybe you should check it out!

Does Jay Leno still has it’s show?

Interesting, beyond wearing jeans and a denim shirt every single time, when it’s brisk out he also puts on a denim jacket. $5 says he wears denim underwear.
