Are you tired of Jimmie Johnson winning all of these races? Does it bore you to see the same person win time and time again? Well, suck it up and give credit to where credit is due. Jimmie Johnson took his 50th win in his Cup Series career in the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday. This win was his first at Bristol and places him in a tied position for 10th place with Junior Johnson and Ned Jarrett in the all-time list.

Johnson, who is a 4-time defending NASCAR->ke3635 champion, says that one of his goals this season was to power through in Bristol. This .533 mile short track has been a rough spot for Johnson in the past and he has only achieved third place as his best finish. This year he attained his goal by overcoming Tony Stewart in the last lap of the race. Kurt Busch, who led 278 of the 500 laps, came in 3rd place with Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth following right behind him.

If you missed it, don't worry. If you thought it was too long to watch, no hard feelings. We have video of the last 10 laps and the rest of the story after the jump.

Some, including Johnson, may attribute this victory to the four tires Johnson took when the race had to be restarted with 17 laps to go due to debris on the track. Kurt Busch also took 4 tires while Biffle, Kenseth, Edwards, and Stewart took two. The last edge Johnson needed was drawing the outside lane on the restart.

"Man, we have worked so hard for this," Johnson said in Victory Lane. "I thought we were in trouble there, but those four tires were everything, and I was in the outside lane , which was helpful. About time, man. I'm so proud of this team. I am so proud of us setting a mark and going at it and accomplishing what we wanted to.”

"We've been off here over the years. We focused on what we needed to do and got it done ."

And for all you naysayers, give the guy a break. Even Kurt Busch ran a mini anti-Johnson campaign.

"I'd rather lose to any of the 41 cars out there than this No. 48 car," Busch said. "I thought we had them beat. I gave it my heart, but to come up short ... it's a shame we didn't bring it home for a victory.”

Let’s focus people. Johnson and his crew worked hard and got the job done. We hope that the other drivers use this as a jumpstart to better themselves and bring us some awesome racing.
