LaCie Porsche Design P'9220 and P'9230 Hard Drives

Not enough space on your computer to store all your photos, movies, and what-nots? Well, why don’t you go the route of buying a hard drive? But instead of hopping over to Best Buy, why not buy a hard drive that will make you the envy of all your friends?

For a ’reasonable’ starting price of just $104.99, you can leave all the Western Digitals on the shelves and score these hard drives courtesy of Porsche Design and LaCie.

The former, as you may know, is the retail and merchandising brand of German automaker, Porsche , whereas the latter is one of the world’s foremost designers of hard drives. Perfect combination, right?

These new hard drives feature a minimalist design with brushed aluminum cases. They are the perfect data storage device to complement your laptops, but better yet, they come in two models with a variety of storage spaces to fit your needs and whims. There’s the P’9220, which comes in 500 GB, 750 GB, and 1TB capacities, and the P’9230, which comes in 1TB and 2TB capacities.

Imagine if you had one of those Acer Ferrari Liquid E mobile phones or even the Asus Lamborghini VX7 laptop, you’d be the poster boy of automotive fandom amongst your buddies. Maybe after you purchase this hard drive, you can score one of those printed mousepads of an Audi R8 to complement your technological homage to high-end European auto brands.

I think they are building their own market and it’s directly competing the Ferrari Store!haha Sorry, but I think this is just a stupidity! I guess it would be better if they will focus in making a high speed performing vehicle.

haha. It seems that Porsche has been idolizing the Ferrari in terms of extending their merchandise! Recently, I think they are offering items like Shisha, bike, watches, mouse, office chair, brooch and even headphones! Does it mean that we could see a Porsche Store soon?hehe

They are really into competing with Ferrari. The good thing in Ferrari is that, when you buy a car, the other product is a package, while this product of Porsche is a different product with their car. I bet, as time goes by, other car manufacturers will also do this idea.

Porsche is indeed getting their selves out of the box. I think they are trying to compete with Ferrari which we all know that has lots of products to offer too. But a Hard Drive from Porsche? Not a bad idea.

hmm. It seems that the Porsche is competing with the Ferrari in terms of extending their arm of merchandise. We all know that Ferrari Store have so much to offer which is literally most of their product has nothing to do with cars. I wonder if Porsche is following there footsteps..maybe later on we could hear about Porsche Store online. Hehehe

I don’t know if I’m going to laugh hard on this gadget or what. Ok, I have to admit that its a cool technology, however I still don’t get why Porsche has been making a computer parts since its not their line of expertise...from car to hard drive? well, I guess the common denominator would be the word "drive"smiley
