If you think that 2,000 vehicles being made isn't a big deal, you obviously don't know how much a Lamborghini Aventador costs.

It's not a Toyota Corolla->ke1039 or a Honda Civic->ke236, and it certainly doesn't cost anywhere near those two cars.

So, for Lamborghini to have built 2,000 examples of the Aventador in a little over 2 years, that's a huge deal and certainly worth celebrating. Celebrate the company did when Aventador No. 2k rolled off the production line.

As for the lucky owner of the Italian supercar, his name is Thaddeus Arroyo, the Chief Intelligence Officer for AT&T in the U.S. Incidentally, he also owns a Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Spyder, which indicates that this man knows his Lamborghinis.

Congratulations to Lamborghini->ke44 on reaching this fantastic milestone far sooner than anybody anticipated. At this rate, don't be surprised if we see more of these celebrations in the coming years.

Lamborghini Aventador

The Aventador is without a doubt the jewel of Lambo's production line. Sure, the Aventador J and Veneno are higher on the overall list, but those are super-limited vehicles that don't quite qualify. Its sexy styling is enough to make even folks that aren't obsessed with cars take notice.

Add in its 6.5-liter V-12 engine that produces 700 horsepower and 507 pound-feet of torque that allows it to hit 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph, and you have a bona fide bad-ass.
