Earlier today we reported that Lamborghini’s future Murcielago will hit a top speed of 225 mph. Now we can confirm that this deliciously smooth and sleek supercar will be revealed at the Paris Auto Show in October. Known internally as the "New V12", the next Murcielago will borrow design elements from the Reventon, and will feature clean, crisp surfaces, trademark aggressive air intakes, and sharply sculpted all-LED lights. Of course, a future supercar would not be complete without some changes under the hood. The new Murcielago will have a 7.0-liter V12 engine that will produce in excess of 700bhp and 700Nm of torque (go, baby, go!). The car will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3 seconds, while top speed will be in the 225 mph area. The engine will be mated to a seven-speed, paddleshift automated manual gearbox. The interior will be trimmed in carbon and Alcantara and will include a hi-tech sat-nav and a jet-style head-up display. In the words of Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber, "I like it a lot". .
15 comments: Lamborghini’s new Murcielago to be revealed at Paris Auto (...) In a highly unusual move for Honda, this may be the first "me, too" car from the Japanese automaker, which had prided itself on following the road less traveled in the past.
The Insight, which will undercut the price of the Toyota Prius, will go on sale in the U.S. next spring, Honda said earlier this summer. Annual global sales are pegged at 200,000 units.
Someone messed it up when they posted it here in the news section. The same image posted in the Straight line blog on this site is perfectly clear and high resolution.
haha. Yeah, it is horrible quality. But I think it’s a still taken from a video, which makes it more acceptable. Though you’d think Lamborghini -> Audi -> Volkswagen would have enough money to use a device better than a camera phone...
I knew that the designers of the Lamborghini Style Centre have remained true to the traditional Lamborghini principles of purism, sport and function.
Well IMO the Ferrari California cannot be compete with Murcielago, it should be the 599xx and f50 who are they competing with it.
Never like Murcielago or the Gallardo designs. I hope they give us something that is a true Lamborghini in this time around!
