Lamborghini set to release '50th Anniversary' model in 2013

Sure, it’s a little over two years away, but still, you can never be too early when it comes to important news about Lamborghini .

So, here it is: In 2013, Lamborghini will be turning 50 years old and to celebrate the occasion, the Italian supercar maker is planning on releasing a 50th anniversary ‘special edition’ model. The brand has yet to announce what kind of model it’s going to be, but these guys aren’t strangers to commemorative models so we’re going to expect nothing less than a breathtaking supercar.

During its 25th anniversary, Lamborghini released a special edition Countach model. That was followed five years later by the Diablo SE30 . And then, during its 40th year celebration, they released yet another commemorative model, the Murcielago 40th year Anniversary.

Seeing as 50 years has more cache than 30 or 40 years, it’s pretty much a given that the boys over at Sant’Agata will spare no expense in producing a commemorative supercar unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

@dracoly_lee , I think its not, for sure this one will come up with limited edition. However, I’m looking forward for the future lineup of the Lamborghini. And I’m afraid that most likely it would happen, it will be sold out before 2013.

hmm. does this belong to the future lineup of the Lambo that they were talking about recently? Its has the different front compare to the traditional look of the Lambo. When will be the released of this model? For sure this already sold out for 2013.

This is nice. That would be much fun to celebrate the automaker’s anniversary with their new model.

Looking back to their previous years. The old Lambo’s were like Ferrari’s they look and sound so cool but they just wasted their time in building a crap hydraulic lifts.
But they have change and I think Murcielago is one of the concrete proof!

The good thing about Murcielago is..it fit to all color. Whatever is the color it didn’t spoil the the modern and distinctive look of the Lamborghini.

That is amazingly beautiful. So much nicer looking that the other continuation models.

It is probably registered as a kit car. IIRC, they aren’t subject to crash and safety rules.

Wow! Lamborghini on its 50th Anniversary! There’s no word on what that model may turn out to be but with the Murcielago replacement !smiley

Lamborghini the automaker is now just two years out from celebrating its 50th anniversary—a remarkable achievement for a company with a history as tumultuous as that experienced by the Italian supercar brand.

Another possibility could be the announcement of a limited production run of the Sesto Elemento concept car, a model that would be built strictly for the track use and kept as exclusive as previous special edition models such as the Reventon.

It is incredible to think that almost 50 years ago, Ferruccio Lamborghini began making sports cars in an effort to show Enzo Ferrari how to make a proper sports car.

Those excited for the arrival of the Lamborghini Aventador have been painstakingly awaiting each tiny detail that comes out but finally, the specs of this hypercar have been released by autoblog.it. We’ve already learned that the vehicle will be powered by a 6.5 liter V12 engine that delivers 700 hp

wow for sure that this will be a surprise one.. they haven’t announce the looks and specs of their 50th anniversary model. I’m really craving to read some of it.

Everything about it, is wrong for me. Most notably is the three little LEDs that they are using for a headlight? Why would you drive this? It certainly is like a batmobile.
