Lamborghini->ke44 is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and to mark the event the company has prepared a series of special events. Along with numerous parades, Lamborghini will also unveil a series of special-editions supercars, and one of them was recently confirmed for its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

Lamborghini designer Filippo Prini confirmed that it will be a "big surprise" to everyone and that it will be "a homologated car." Bad news is that rumors are pointing toward it being built in limited edition: about 10 units are rumored to be developed. Some reports are also floating around that this could be the fastest car in Lamborghini’s history. If that rumors ends up being true, we would expect a 0-to-60 time under 2.5 seconds and a top speed well in excess of 200 mph – basically faster than the Sesto Elemento.

Lamborghini will have some supercar company in Geneva, as Ferrari will bring the Enzo->ke389 successor, McLaren will bring the production version P1 supercar and Pagani also announced a surprise for the show.

Before you get too excited, keep in mind that a few days ago it was rumored that Lamborghini will unveil the Aventador LP720-4 in Geneva. Could this be the official confirmation? If so, the rumors of the fastest Lambo ever are definitely untrue, as there is no way that an extra 20 horsepower could put the Aventador in that class, unless the Italians are being sneaky with it…

Well see!
