The Italian super bar builder Lamborghini launched their flagship dream machine Murcielago back in 2001 and the slightly smaller Gallardo followed suit in 2003 and aside from a few special edition variations and the limited edition Reventon the automaker hasn’t come out with much else. However things are about to change as the Murcielago is being replaced by the all new Jota, a model that will be built on top of an all new carbon fiber chassis and utilizing more of the woven black stuff along with aluminum to create the skin under which a 6.0 Liter direct injected V12 that will put down around 700 HP. Instead of numbing things down and introducing an entry level V10 version, sources say that Lamborghini is also working on an even more powerful model called Urus. The new car will be built from a modified version of the Jota and feature a full carbon fiber body. The Urus should be powered by a modified version of the Jota’s V12 engine except that it will be tuned to deliver up to 800 HP. The added output should bring the Lambos 0 to 60 MPH sprint to sub three second levels and will compete head to head with the Enzo’s successor, the Ferrari FX70. .
11 comments: Lamborghini Urus - new supercar placed above the future (...) Well, I don’t think that the figure performance of the car is kind of impressive. It seems that the v12 technology has boost the speed of the vehicle.
 Well, I guess the production of the Jota and Urus is not that popular compared to Gallardo and Murcielago cars. However, the good thing is that this car uses the same modern technology like the other model and the power output really is incredible.
 Do they share the same concept with the Audi? Or upgraded version of the Murcielago? If i’m not mistaken ’Urus’ means bull? Like the Aventador.
Anyways, the good thing about Lambo is that they just don’t make sports car but high performance and high speed cars. Over the past few years Lambo have revived their self by creating a high powered, well engineered powered wheel drive cars.
 I have read good reviews about the Jota.
I think Lamborghini set the Jota to be their fastest production. They have lessen its weight from around 3,670 lbs. its was down to 3,300 lbs. well, thanks to new carbon-fiber chassis!
And the most amazing part is that power will be routed on its four wheel through seven-speed paddle-shift automated manual gearbox. Lamborghini really improves all..including the power, fuel economy and the design.
 Are they really planning to get this new model to production? It seems new but the roof and windshield seems really interesting. It would be great to have a nice view of the skies while driving at 150 or 200 MPH.
 For a Lamborghini concept like this Urus, it will be the buddy car of Gallardo that may change the phase on challenging the Porsche 911 Turbo on a race. The specific year to release it was not stated on this article but I think all eyes are in this machine that will continue the legacy of Lamborghini on the speed department.
 I’m stunned on this car and I agree with you that it will be that tough competition for the Ferrari FX70. Well looking at the scenario that this car have a sprint time under 3 seconds, that’s what makes the competition exciting but I’m not sure if Lamborghini Urus can pullout this fight, I’m more on to the side of the stallion on this raging battle.
