Remember back when the V-6 engine in the Camaro->ke248 could barely move the neutered muscle car out of its own way? Well, if you had the “joy” of driving any of the early-model V-6 Camaros, you were likely rather surprised to see the new Camaro’s V-6 engine muscling out 323 horsepower. Well, a leaked image shows that GM is taking its V-6 engine to an all-new level.

That’s right, an image passed over to the guys and gals at Carscoops by a “GM insider,” shows a pilot brochure for the 2014 Camaro. In this brochure, it lists the V-6 engine at 354 horsepower – a 31-pony bump over 2013 – a 0-to-60 mph time of 6.2 seconds and an excellent 34 mpg highway. The latter represents a 4 mpg increase over the 2013 model year, which is mighty impressive to go along with the nice horsepower boost.

These are all unconfirmed reports from “insiders” that we don’t know personally, so we need to take this with a grain of salt. But, the above image sure does lend it a little credence to the report.

With this rumored bump in power, the revised body and the all-new Z/28, Chevy is certainly making a huge push in the muscle-car realm.
