Maserati GranTurismo Spider to be revealed in Frankfurt

Fans of open air cruising have something new to look forward to. The long awaited Maserati Granturismo Spider will make its official debut this upcoming September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new convertible from FIAT was designed by Pininfarina and uses the same basic architecture as Maserati’s other sportscars, the Granturismo and the Quattroporte. The Spider will be powered by the same 4.2 Liter V8 that makes 405 HP, while the even more powerful S version receives a slightly larger 4.7 Liter motor producing 440 HP. The drop top sports car will go on sale in 2010 and start at around $130,000.
