Autobild is the largest circulation automotive magazine in Germany.  Every year, it gives out an award for automotive quality.

This year’s winner is Mazda. Mazda also won last year, and the year before.

The award is based on endurance testing, owner surveys among subscribers, recalls, the German government’s roadworthiness technical inspection reports on cars which are two and three years old, customer complaints, warranties, and dealer service quality.

Mazda ranked high among its owners for reliability, build quality, customer satisfaction and warranty performance.

Autobild is currently conducting a 100,000 kilometer long term test of the Mazda 5 and reports it has suffered no breakdowns during the test to date.
