The future McLaren P11->ke3178 super car has been caught while topping off at a local filling station during a developmental testing run near Cranleigh in Surrey in the U.K. The future supercar will be a direct competitor for the Ferrari F430 and Lamborghini Gallardo when it goes on sale in 2011.

The P11 will be powered by a 500 HP version of the Mercedes Benz V8 tweaked by the company responsible for making F1 pistons, Mahle, at the Mahle Power train facility in the UK. The engine will send power directly to the rear wheels via a semi-automatic gear box featuring race-inspired steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The road going McLaren will be able to do the 0 to 60 MPH sprint in under 4 seconds and reach a top speed in excess of 200 MPH.
