After the first official images of the new AMG SLS leaked out into the German press and then on to the internet last week, the European automotive journal AutoBild has just come out with a few mor of the revealing images. As September draws closer the gull wing’s official debut is not too far away. The production version of the SLS AMG will be powered by an AMG hand built 6.2 V8 engine that puts out a total of 571 HP. The SLS will weigh in at just under 3575 pounds meaning that every horsepower will have to push around about 6.25 pounds of super car, this allows the velocity machine to accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in only 3.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 195 MPH. More images after the jump. 2 comments: Mercedes Benz SLS AMG super car, even more official Uncia (867) Posted on 07.13.2009 Why would anybody buy this thing? It’s hideous, unreliable and slower than what should be its competitors, the Lexus LF-A and Ferrari 599.
