Now that Mercedes has given the standard S-Class a facelift, it's time for the AMG models to get a touch up. The actual car won't be revealed until the Shanghai Auto Show later this month, but Car and Driver caught an early leak.

The largest exterior upgrade is the LED lighting package also given across the S-Class line, so there are no surprises here. Other feature such as the wider air intake on the front lip, special wheels, and quad exhaust pipes are AMG mainstays. There also is no change in engine lineup: the S63 AMG has the 518 hp 6.2-liter V-8, and the S65 AMG has the 604 hp 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12.

So if it just a minor change why are we making a post about it? Well even a minor tweak is a good excuse to show a full-size sedan that can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds (S65) and hit a top speed of 186 mph when ungoverned.
