The extra limited SLR 722 GT was caught testing in Nurburgring. Only 21 units will be made, each priced over a million euro. The 722 GT is inspired by the 1955 300 SLR.

It is powered by a V8 engine producing 650 hp. The car weights only 2866 lbs and reaches a top speed of 209.4 mph. The 0 to 60 mph sprint is made just in 3.0 seconds.

At the Nurburgring testings, the 722 GT made a time of only 7:38 minutes. It seems that the car has some problems with the transmission and with the new running brake assembly, this is why it couldn't get a better time than the SLR.

The next test will take place from 20 to 24 October.
