2015 Dodge Challenger

The most noticeable changes operated on the 2015 Challenger are its 1971-inspired front and rear fascias that now include a split grille and split taillights respectively. The muscle car also received a new power bulge hood, reshaped bumpers and a larger trunklid spoiler.

The early 1970s Challenger cues continue inside, the a redesigned center console was paired to a more driver-focused instrument panel. The 7-inch TFT cluster is also a new addition, as are the steering wheel and the front seats.

The same 3.6-liter V-6, 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 and 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 engines are available, with a slight power bump added to the latter. In contrast, the ancient five-speed automatic transmission has been ditched in favor of a ZF-developed eight-speed unit.

Changes are more obvious on the 2015 Charger, which has gained brand new, Dodge Dart-inspired front and rear fascias. The reworked interior comes with minor changes, which include a new steering wheel with multifunction buttons, the 7-inch TFT screen and an improved infotainment system with Chrysler’s latest Uconnect.

Power is provided by the already familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 with 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 which is rated at 370 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque. Like the Challenger, the new Charger benefits from the eight-speed automatic starting 2015.
