General Motors Corp. announces the ’07 GMC Yukon SUV, which is on sale now, reportedly carries a base price of $34,690, some $890 less than the previous-generation ’06 model. Lower pricing on the all-new GMT900-based vehicles reflects GM’s effort to move closer to actual transaction levels and reduce incentive spending.
Premium trim-level Denali SUVs reportedly are set to go on sale shortly and will start at $47,990, a $2,070 drop from ’06 models. Long-wheelbase XL and XL Denalis will appear later in spring and will start at $37,790 and $50,490, respectively.
Standard Yukons are equipped with a 5.3L V-8 engine and 4-speed automatic transmission and are available in rear- and 4-wheel-drive variants. Denali models are offered only with all-wheel drive and feature increased interior content and a 6.2L V-8 engine mated to a 6-speed automatic.
