Volkswagen’s ambitious plans of overtaking Toyota, none of the models will be left unchanged. A new Beetle, totally redesigned will be launched in 2012, but not only in the usually coupe and convertible version; a roadster version, completely unknown, will be added to the line-up
The 2012 Beetle will take its design cues from the Up! Concept unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The new Beetle will gain more length in order to offer more space. Also the headlights will receive a new form and LED technology.
Under the bonnet next to the same engine as in the Golf we will also see the latest Volkswagen technology, like FSI, TSI (probably 1.4) and a new TDI engine. All the engines will be matted with a double clutch DSG gearbox.
