In January of this year, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo had a
nasty accident in a tunnel near Manchester Airport. Ronaldo’s Ferrari 599 GTB was written off and there was £20,000 in damage caused to the tunnel’s wall. After further investigation, police have determined that there was insufficient evidence to launch any prosecution. According to a police source quoted by the Telegraph, "Ronaldo said he simply lost control of the car and there were not enough independent witnesses to prosecute him for any driving offense."
