Earlier this year, at the 2012 Paris Auto Show, Lamborghini unveiled an updated version of the Gallardo LP 560-4 . Today, the Italian company has confirmed that this Gallardo will indeed be the last edition offered for the aging supercar, as its replacement arrives sometime in 2013.
For the 2013 model year, the Gallardo continues to come with a 5.2-liter V-10 powerhouse that pumps out 552 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 398 pound-feet of torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine will mate to either a 6-speed manual transmission or an optional E-gear transmission. The final-edition Gallardo sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds and ends up at a top speed of 201.9 mph.
Updates for the 2013 model year include an updated front fascia with slightly different front bumper, a new engine vent at the rear and a set of all-new 19-inch alloy wheels. Lamborghini is also offering an optional Style package that adds high-gloss black paint on the front spoiler and grilles.
