BMW has taken on an interesting task. It's making a performance version of its two-ton SUV, the X5. To prove this can be done, BMW release this official performance video.

Just like the X6 M version, we suspect the engine generating all that power in this video is a twin-turbocharged version of the 4.4-liter V8 making at least 500 hp. The X5 M could be fully revealed as early as next month at the Detroit Auto Show, the home of the SUV.
