Although we're just dying to meddle with the upcoming Corvette Z06 in Chevy's->ke199 online configurator, we won't be able to do that for a few more months, as the utterly powerful Vette won't go on sale until early 2015. However, thanks to Corvette Blogger, we now have access to the supercar's->ke177 order guide and all the standard and optional features that come with it.

Besides revealing the Z06's exterior and interior amenities, the order guide also tells us that the beefed-up C7->ke4579 model tips the scales at 3,524 in Coupe guise and at 3,582 pounds with a fabric top. That's quite a lot considering the vehicle's lightweight, race-inspired aluminum structure, but explainable by the amount of technology it comes with. All told, the C7 Z06 Coupe is 349 pounds heavier than its predecessor, which weighed in at 3,175 pounds.

The extra pounds shouldn't be a problem though, as the brand-new Z06 carries no less than 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque under the hood, a 145-pony and 180-pound-feet bump over the previous generation model.

Three Trims, Carbon-Fiber Options

Available in three trim levels - 1LZ, 2LZ, and 3LZ - both the Z06 Coupe and Z06 Convertible are equipped with standard cruise control, keyless access, OnStar with 4G LTE built-in Wi-Fi, sport bucket seats and rearview camera, among many other features.

As far as exterior options go, the Z06 can be fitted with a carbon-fiber Ground Effects Package that includes Carbon Flash-painted splitter and rockers, and a more aggressive rear spoiler, a carbon-fiber Dual Roof Package and numerous "Stinger" and "Racing" body stripes. A Corvette Museum Delivery is also available, and comes with a Corvette Museum logo plaque personalized with the customer's name and VIN. Three optional wheel designs are offered by Chevy. They all measure 19 and 20 inches front and rear, respectively, but feature different designs and finishes.

Moving into the cabin, buyers will be able to select Chevy's brand-new Performance Data Recorder system, a three-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel wrapped in sueded microfiber, or Color Combination Override, an option that enables customers to further individualize the vehicle's appearance.

Drivetrain and chassis options include a 2.41-ratio rear axle for the eight-speed automatic gearbox and the Z07 Performance Package, which consists of carbon-ceramic brakes, high-performance suspension with Magnetic Ride Control, Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 tires and level 3 Aero Package. Why It Matters

If you're one of those lucky fellows who's waiting to sign a check for a 2015 Corvette Z06 at the nearest Chevrolet dealership, than this leaked order guide should keep you busy for a while. At the same time, we are finally granted full access to what kind of features Chevy is offering for its upcoming flagship sports car. All we need now is for that online configurator to fire up so we can meddle with the Z06's exterior and interior colors and trims. We'll be back as soon as that happens.

Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Developed alongside the Corvette C7.R, the 2015 Z06 is essentially a race car for the road. Motivated by a newly developed, supercharged V-8 engine that displaces 6.2 liters, the Z06 roars to incredible speeds with help from 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. The oomph enables the sports car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in only 3.4 seconds, while top speed sits at 200 mph.

Design-wise, the Z06 is a seventh-generation Corvette Stingray on steroids. The aerodynamic body kit includes a front splitter, a redesigned rear bumper, new side skirts, flared wheel arches, and a rear spoiler. A brand-new hood completes the package that turns the already enticing Corvette Stingray into a menacing beast for the road and track.
