Peugeot considering low-cost brand?

According to La Tribune, Peugeot might launch a new brand in Europe for its low-cost models. The company is considering building low-cost models in emerging economies where labor is cheaper, and then bringing them to western Europe under a new brand name.

The newspaper said the group did not want to risk damaging its Peugeot or Citroen brands and was considering using one of the names form the past it owns, such as Talbot.
