Porsche has already confirmed that the next generation Cayman will be making its world debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, but that’s two weeks away and, well, we’re impatient! Luckily for us, the new Cayman has been caught completely undisguised and we can now admire it in all its glory.
Everyone expected the new Cayman to be completely identical to its soft-top sibling, the Boxster. We have to admit the Cayman looks even better than expected, thanks to its revised lights and bumpers. The next Cayman will also feature longer rear-quarter windows and roofline, and a more spacious cabin.
Under the Cayman’s hood, we will find the same engine lineup asthe new Boxster features. The base Cayman will get a 2.7-liter six-cylinder that delivers a total of 265 horsepower, while the S version will receive a 3.4-liter powerplant with 315 ponies.
More details on the new Cayman will be unveiled in the upcoming weeks, so stay tuned!
