After the German tuners from TechArt revealed their plans for a fully customized Panamera, the luxury specialists at Lumma Design decided that they could do the new four door sports car one better with their own high performance design study based on Porsche’s latest grand tourer. While the Porsche Panamera is already an attractive vehicle from the factory, the Lumma Design model is a much sleeker sports car thanks to the stretched front end, deep dish 22 inch rims and the oversized rear wing. The Lumma Panamera will also have enough grunt to back up the super car looks. The German design team are planning for the Panamera to have no fewer than 700 HP coming from a modified turbocharged Porsche V8 under the hood, hence the CLR 700 GT writing down the side like a classic Carrera. TechArt maintained the majority of the factory’s bodylines, only accentuating the new muscular figure, however Lumma Design is going above an beyond with an aggressive wide body kit to transform the Panamera into a true GT race car. The redesigned aero package consists of bold fender flares, sleek side skirts, restyled bumpers with larger openings and a more pronounced down force inducing front lip. The hood is also another race car part, judging from the sketch it looks like it will be made out of carbon fiber and feature quite a few engine bay temperature reducing vents. While most owners should be content with their fast four door sport sedans but there will always be a few willing to take their rides to the next level, and this rendering from Lumma Design would make a perfect starting place. Updated 26/02/2010: Lumma Design revealed new images and official details on the CLR 700 GT. The car will be presented at Geneva Motor Show. Press release The Porsche Panamera gets a new character in Winterlingen, Germany. LUMMA Design remains unimpressed by the four doors of the Gran Turismo. The engineers see an automobile with racing character, tailor a carbon coat to the outer shell and refine the interior with precious leather. This way, the Panamera turns into the LUMMA CLR 700 GT. Carbon and Kevlar mould the aerodynamicsAt LUMMA Design, the Gran Turismo from Zuffenhausen is equipped with a large number of carbon parts which both enormously boosts the agility as well as the sporty appearance. Therefore, the cup spoiler sword, the lateral air inlets, the rear skirt corners and the entire rear diffuser are made of carbon, as well as the side skirt and the rear wing with the aluminium stilts. The sports bonnet with the two additional air vents has also been made of the ultra-light material and is also reinforced with a Kevlar bracing. The aerodynamics kit is completed with the front spoiler with LED indicators, wing extensions and the rear skirt with the air vents. Three-part forged wheels in 21 inchesWheels from the “Racing Edition“ render a racing look to the CLR 700 GT. LUMMA Design fits these three-part rims with the forged star hub and the stainless steel outer well in 10.5x21 inches with tyres measuring 265/30 at the front- and 12x21 inches with ultra-high performance tyres measuring 305/30-21 at the back axle. 11 comments: Porsche Panamera CLR 700 GT by Lumma Design Although details are scant at the moment, the firm says that output can be gradually increased on the Panamera up to 690 horses.
Lumma’s biggest addition is the aggressive wide-body kit that includes a new front bumper, carbon-fiber hood with vents, larger fenders, carbon-fiber wing, revised rear bumper with diffuser and quad tailpipes.
@Bobby Cruz, actually dude it depends upon the taste. Its not for you to say, its for us to see and experience.
my first thoughts too were that this type of modification was completely wrong for the Panamera. The mechanical upgrades are fine, but only a boy racer could love the wings and plastic cladding. Adolescent treatment on an adult ride equals bad taste.
I Actually think this looks really good, of course a body kit of this caliber on a 4 door saloon is always gonna be wrong, but man does it look aggressive.
It looks sweet and I love the body kit. I do love the paint and definitely the mugs of the wheels. Its like candy rolling on the street. It is a simple exterior but still is a very aggressive look. I love the almost all red interior too. I haven’t seen it’s dash closely though, wonder how the meters look... sporty definitely.
Fascinating! The car looks great. Yes I believe its an attractive vehicle and very muscular too. I like the design and everything about it.
Lovely looking porsche, specially the custom body kits, but the interior is not that bad at all. i really dont like the read Theme for such a lovely car like this.
