Porsche recalls 44.000 GT3 and GT3 RS

Porsche recalled 43911 GT3 and GT3 RS cars that are fitted with optional six-point seatbelt harnesses. The problem is that if buckles can’t be undone after an accident, the seatbelts themselves would have to be cut.

To remedy the situation, Porsche wants to examine the seatbelt buckle, check its production date and replace it if it’s part of the suspected faulty batch. Porsche will contact owners of affected vehicles to arrange a date for the inspection.
