Who in the world wants just a plain old sedan? Not us, and not the Germans, as they are at it again with another high-performance machine. This one is just a bit different though; the car it’s based on was just unveiled a few days ago and won’t be on sale for some time.
Audi’s RS division, which is like Mercedes’s AMG, has been working in a cold, underground layer in Germany on a performance version of the A7. Many days and nights have passed and we finally can see the fruits of their labor. The new RS7.
We have been lucky enough to secure some renderings of the new performance Audi and a few tidbits of information before the car’s rumored Paris Motor Show launch.

When the A7 was first unveiled it was a bit overshadowed by the Ford Explorer . Sure, the new SUV is neat and we’re sure it’ll be good, but come on now, the A7 is so much cooler.
The exterior of the car features handsome lines that run from the front to the back like flowing water. Take a small part Mercedes-Benz CLS , add a tablespoon of Volkswagen CC, and out of the oven came the A7, Audi’s first four-door coupe.
The base A7 will be powered by a collection of motors, but the most important and most powerful is the 3.0-liter supercharged V6. That’s the same motor that we find in the S4, one of our favorite cars on the market. As if that motor wasn’t good enough, Audi has turned the dial all the way to eleven.
The RS7 will likely feature a 5.2-liter V10 with 580 horsepower. If that seems like a lot of power, it is. Even the Aston Martin Rapide only has 470 horsepower. The motor will be connected to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
The exterior design will likely continue in the RS tradition of bigger is better. The wheel arches will be enlarged, as will the wheels and rear spoiler. The RS7 will have the honeycomb grille and silver door mirrors.
We don’t have much information at this time, but we will continue to update you on Audi’s new threat to AMG, Porsche, and even Aston Martin.
