McLaren->ke284 is preparing to unveil the concept version of the P1 supercar at the 2012 Paris Auto Show, with the production version arriving sometime in 2013. That being said, it looks as though the concept will be an almost exact representation of the production model, at least according to these leaked patent drawings of the 2013 P1.

As you can see from these images, the production version P1 will feature minimal changes when compared to the concept that will be displayed in Paris. The only differences we see are the additional intakes placed ahead of the front wheels and the new additions at the rear of the car, consisting of a new rear diffuser, modified tail-lights, and a huge retractable rear spoiler that will most likely help deliver improved aerodynamics.

Under the hood, the P1 is rumored to get a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine combined with a KERS energy storage system for a total output of 800 HP. McLaren already announced that the P1 is not aiming to be the fastest car in the world, so we do not expect to see the same performance numbers as seen on its predecessor, the F1->ke1159. McLaren just hopes to be the quickest and most rewarding series production road car on a circuit.
