With the Super Bowl less than a week away, numerous automakers have released teasers for their new ads. One of them, however, is taking a different approach. Subaru->ke86 has rolled out a bevy of teasers to promote their "Dog Tested. Dog Approved" series of commercials.

The only caveat is that these ads won't be shown during the Super Bowl; instead, they've chosen to show the ads during Puppy Bowl IX, an annual television program on Animal Planet that features puppies playing American football. Yep, it's completely adorable.

As for the teasers themselves, Subaru rolled out a variety of them, each titled differently, including "Lint Roller," "Tailgating," "Let's Talk Finances" and "On the Lot".

This isn't the first time Subaru has opted to take this route, foregoing the Super Bowl in favor of the Puppy Bowl. It's a pretty interesting approach and one that appears to have endeared Subaru to the dog-loving population of America.
