Renault drops models on the Zoe ZE Concept

Here’s something that should get you over that Monday bug. With the exception of high-powered supercars throwing down against one another, nothing gets us more excited than seeing two of our favorite topics together in one fancy photo shoot: cars and girls, or girls and cars, depending on what your preferences are. Okay, there are dudes there too, but we’ll save that for you ladies.

And just so we don’t get sidetracked by the lovely models pressing themselves against the Renault Zoe ZE Concept with their lips pouting as if they want us to do something about it, we can’t forget about the car itself.

Back in 2009, Renault unveiled the Zoe ZE Concept to introduce their take on future electric city cars. As an EV, the Zoe emits zero noise and drags zero pollutants when in use. It’s powered by a 70kW (94 horsepower) electric motor that helps produce 166 lb/ft of torque and sits on a large set of 21” wheels.

While the model is still in concept form, it doesn’t take away from the potential of the car and the possibilities of seeing it out on the streets someday. In fact, Renault did plan on having a production model released sometime in 2012 so this photo shoot is probably the first of many marketing stints preparing the world for the Zoe.

Who know, maybe we’ll end up riding shotgun on this electric city car to one of these hot models sometime in the very near future.

Well, the DeZir would probably be a much better subject for this photo shoot. Not that the ZOE isn’t a good car, it’s just that I think the DeZir would be a better fit.

I just thought about something while looking at this one. Why don’t they do this kind of photo shoot with the DeZir? That one will definitely have a rather great result.

Yeah, you are correct on that, jay_walker. One of the biggest plus points of the the Zoe is its good handling characteristics. And if they are able to improve the battery life, then that would also be another set of points.

Actually, if you look closely at the ZOE, it is rather good overall. The steering and handling are so well designed that it will really be perfect for every driving situation

Yeah, I would agree. They really need to improve the Zoe’s running time. Though that one is really not bad, a much longer time would attract a lot of buyers.

Well, I do agree with you that the Zoe still needs a lot of work and they have many things top sort out here. But since this is still just a concept, we have plenty of time for that.

Well, I do believe that this concept still needs further study and I don’t think that electric cars can hold for a long hour run without losing its power!

I have seen the whole gallery picture and its great! However, when it comes to the car, well, sorry but I’m not really impressed with the reliability of electric cars!

I think the photoshoot is actually great. It really emphasizes the features of the Zoe a lot, and everything was done in a rather artistic manner.

OK, I also like when lovely girls and great cars come together, but I am really scratching my head on this one. I don’t know if they want to emphasize the car or the girls.
