Rolls Royce Corniche - the convertible version of the Phantom limousine - will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2007.

The Corniche takes its name from a French region that was the prefered one by Rolls co-founder Henry Royce. The design is inspired by the 2004 101EX concept: tailored nose, with a thin sliver of LED lamps atop a circular headlamp, and swept back grille.

It is powered by a 6.7-litre V12 with a horse power of 453 hp and 531lbs-ft of torque.

The Corniche will go on sale after its january 2007 debut at a price of 475000$ (est.). A coupe version will follow in 2008.
