Rolls-Royce Corniche Spy Shots

It seems that the new Rolls Royce Corniche takes its styling from the 100 EX Concept that was presented at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show. It will use a 6.75 liter V12 engine cribbed from the Phantom.

Based on the same platform as the Phantom, and built using similar aluminum spaceframe chassis technology, the newcomer isn’t as long as the sedan. The beautifully crafted cabin has room for four. Much of the switchgear will be carried over from the Phantom, but the convertible will need an extra button to trigger the electric folding fabric roof.

A big surprise in this mules is that the spectacular rear-hinged doors are confirmed for production, which should make for particularly grand entrances and exits for well-heeled owners and their companions.
