Every car enthusiast out there with some passion for classic cars knows of the Rolls Royce->ke74 Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe I. Not so much its history, but the mystery surrounding it, as the model was built in 1935 by Henri Jonckheere and his son Joseph Jonckheere, but all the documents about the car were destroyed during World War II, and not even up to this point we cannot tell for sure who was the millionaire it was built for. This classic car is currently on display at the California-based Peterson Museum.

Fast-forward to 2012 and Ugur Sahin Design has been contracted by VDL Jonckheere to bring back the spirit of the Rolls Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe. Ugur has the intention of offering this car as a one-off edition, but it will be priced at about €5 to €6 million ($6.5 to $8 million at the current exchange rate).

Ugur’s new Rolls Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe II will keep the essence of the original model, but will give it a modern interpretation. The new car will keep the original proportions and lines. Up front it will feature the same colossal grill that pays respect to Rolls Royce’s history, the doors will also be similar to the original ones.
