There once was a time when the illustrious Bugatti Veyron enjoyed the title of being the fastest and most exotic car on the road with its downforce inducing curves that make the 1001 HP quad turbocharged 16 cylinder powered super car able to reach a 253 MPH top speed. However being number 1 also makes you a bit of a target for every eager tuner looking to make a name for themselves, and although there are no cars that can do everything like the Veyron, but there are a handful that are getting close. Perhaps in a preemptive move, the French automaker is planning something special for their centennial anniversary. This recent spy shot may clue us in a bit more as to what exactly Bugatti is thinking about, rumors say that this Veyron+ is a new variant that will deliver around 1200 HP and will be capable of hitting around 260 MPH on the speedo. Along with a slight bump in output the new super car should also be a bit lighter, by about 300 pounds which will not only make it more efficient at speed, but bring the 2.5 second 0 to 60 MPH time down a few tenths. Now this is mostly speculation, and of course the factory hasn’t made any official comments about a special edition upgraded Veyron, however we couldn’t help but continue to ponder what the new car will be called. Possible names include Veyron GT and Veyron Grand Prix, but we are a pit partial to Veyron+ (plus). Hopefully we will find out by the 2010 Paris Motor Show. .
17 comments: Rumor: Bugatti prepares a faster Veyron? Well, I guess they are talking about the Galibier. I have to say that the speed performance of car is very impressive! This is better compare to the Veyron.
 What I heard is that Bugatti will be making a successor for the Veyron! @Rob_Cortez, guess you are right, I think that car can produced around 1200 hp. However, as expected Bugatti has an incredible speed!
 Yeah right. This is the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 and I have to admit that I was impressed with the figure performance of this car. I bet this is only the car that has a 1000 hp on the
engine as per production version!
 Well, if not mistaken the car that was described here is the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sports that was currently delivered in USA. The horsepower was 1200 hp and 268 mph top speed. Well, I guess with this figure no wonder why this car was called the fastest car!
 what we can we expect from this car but luxurious design and powerful engine. I do hope that I will be given an opportunity to drive this car.
 Well, I think that this car was debuted just recently and its a good thing that they have achieved the power output that they wanted.
 WOW!A Veyron in faster speed is kind of impossible but i think Bugatti can make it however, i do hope that they are not planning to add some NOS. 
 what will the Bugatti improved in their car if their speed performance was titled to be the most fastest car. Hmm. I wonder on how the car will run with the sprint of 0-60 mph in 2 second?
 But I guess it wouldn’t stop the Bugatti for creating more cars. There’s a big demand on the U.S market for this brand. The U.S car market is starving to get one of this.
 Don’t take these numbers as the actual figures for the Veyron.

 I will not be shocked if the rumors are true. Of course there are lots of competitions that can upset Bugatti, that’s why they’ll need a somewhat "secret weapon" if ever Veyron will not be "enough" for the race. Well I think that concept is done and really hide them down.
 "Best all around vehicle offering speed, style and exclusivity?" The Koenigsegg CCXR and Lexus LFA are faster around any track than a Veyron, more luxurious, more practical, more reliable, just as exclusive and yet a Veyron costs more than both of them put together. As with all VWs, this car is a joke. Considering that you could buy a Mulsanne, an LFA, a Land Cruiser and a million-dollar house for the same price as this thing, anybody who buys a Veyron has more money than common sense.
 The Veyron is the best all around vehicle offering speed, style and exclusivity; sure a Hennessey Viper can beat it to 200 MPH but its just not the same
And what’s with saying no car can do what it does? The Veyron may be fast in a straight line, but its cornering capability is pathetic. I mean, the Veyron’s Nurburgring times are the same as those of a stock Supra or Skyline with less than 1/3 of the horsepower, and its slalom speed worse than the tail-happy Z06.
