Ryan Hunter-Reay is an American IndyCar driver, 2008 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year, and the new face of IZOD a well known apparel brands with sport- inspired product lines a company from the 1930s owned by Phillip Van Heusen Corporation.

Despite is young age Ryan Hunter-Reay (28) is not a new comer in car racing.

Among other in his palmares he was 2007 IndyCar Roockie of the year, the Test Driver for Robby Gordon’s NASCAR Cup Team and he represented the USA for TeamUSA in the International AIGP Championship Series. He also is the youngest American to ever win an Oval Race in 2004 and first American Rookie in over 20 years to win a Champ Car race in 2003 (Australia).

Interview with Ryan Hunter-Reay, American IndyCar driver and 2008 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year after the jump.

TS: Tell me Ryan, was car racing a dream for you as a kid like for a lot of American kids?

RHR: Yes, that's right, car racing was a dream when I was a kid and I was lucky to have my family helping me and encouraging me a lot to realize this dream.

TS: How did you start?

RHR: I started racing on Go-Kart and went to small cars and then progressively went through all the levels, it was not always easy and I have been very fortunate those past 2 years to have a sponsor like IZOD to help me a lot.

TS: Have you ever think about racing in Formula 1?

RHR: IndyCar series is my goal, as I told you a kid I grew up watching all those top level race car drivers running incredible races, Indianapolis races, that is what I like.

TS: You have a new sponsor and you have finally found a car, with a important victory in 2008*, future looks good!

RHR: Yes, my passion also give me a nice lifestyle, I make a good living, I love my job it is my passion and I am paid for it, I live in Fort Lauderdale and a lot of things happenned in Florida, my home state, it could not be better.

TS: You have traveled all over the world for your passion and have raced on a lot of race tracks, which track could be your favorite one?

RHR: Good question, let me think ...... I would say Indianapolis of course but also Watkins Glen International.

TS: What is your personal car ?

RHR: I drive a Acura they also are in racing car competition, I compete with a Honda car and it is the same company. It has very good performance for a regular car.
