Shelby SuperCars have announced they will unveil the second generation Ultimate Aero at the Boeing Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington on Sunday August 8, 2010 from 5:30 – 10 pm. The evening will begin with a private tour of the museum and will include an intimate dinner event featuring a discussion with SSC owner and founder Jerod Shelby and ex-Pinninfarina designer Jason Castriota (lead designer on historic automobiles such as the Maserati Birdcage, Gran Turismo->ke2326, and Ferrari 599->ke395). Th evening will culminate with the first ever showing of the second generation Ultimate Aero full-scale design model.

This falls right into place with the other announcements made by SSC recently. They have already announced that they will unveil a supercar that will compete with the new Veyron 16.4 Super Sport. The current SSC Ultimate Aero is powered by a mid-engined, twin-turbo 6.2-liter V8 engine that delivers a total of 1183 HP and is capable of hitting a top speed of 256 mph. However, in order to run faster than the current 267 mph record, the next Aero will need to be more powerful and lighter.

Tickets for the event are $80 each and selling as we type!
